I'm a 60-something bachelor who lives in New York's East Village. During the day I'm a webmaster, but my real interests lie in community service, psychological counseling and writing. I enjoy cats, chess, dinosaurs, math and word games, playing my violin, collecting rare books and making new friends. I also like quiet candle-lit dinners really getting to know someone. My violin teacher once told me I look like Brahms. (You can see a picture of me on my website.) Like many people I don't dress conspicuously or try to attract attention to myself because I'm very selective about who I want to be friends with. Visual appearance is not at all important to me.
I'm looking for friends as well as a lover. I prize honesty, intelligence, good communication skills, a lifelong interest in self-development, and a willingness to help other people with their problems rather than merely judging and criticizing others. If we become friends, there's always the chance that we might be good for each other as lovers too, but I don't have a grocery list when it comes to that.
