Between a demanding job and being a single parent, I tend to be very busy...so for dating I need someone with a sense of independence...and since free time is precious, it'd be nice to have someone special to enjoy it with when I get it!
When I do get some free time, I like to do things like ice skating, going to the hot springs, playing on the computer, doing things with my daughter, people-watching, getting out for roadtrips in the mountains, photography, etc. I run a chess club for kids, and derive a great deal of enjoyment out of seeing them learning and growing. I'm told I tend to have a quirky-cheezy sense of humor 
Looking for someone to get out and have some fun with, who can see the quirkiness in the world!
I can't say I've ever been asked what famous figure I resemble the most - my nickname is "Snoopy" -- does that say it? People say they notice my smile first - are they just being nice and overlooking anything else? I'll leave that to my date to decide! Appearance is at least somewhat important - there needs to be some attraction and chemistry, right?
Beyond the obvious, I tend to find a "curious spirit" to be very attractive, in whatever form that curiousity comes out. Classy is a big plus, and as "in" as it is these days, the "biker chick" thing just doesnt' work for me. Someone who loves animals (it's a Snoopy thing, you know) is a big plus. Affection is VERY important - I'm not the stand-offish type at all, and while I've never been asked to leave a movie theatre, someone who can handle a little PDA is a must  Being a great kisser and masseuse earn big-time bonus points Smoking and drug use would be dealbreakers. Looking to date at first, and ultimately finding a long-term partner would be wonderful - but these things take time.
