I'm warm, perceptive, shapely, down-to-earth, and seek a partner for friendship, dating, travel and ultimately the long term. Theater, museums, film, opera and ballet are my passion. I've renewed an interest in dance and am learning the tango. I love NYC, but also enjoy the opportunity to commune with nature. I write fiction and have had stories published, as well as paint watercolors. Golf has fascinated me. I think it must be like gambling, not that I'm a gambler. You hit one good shot, and it makes you keep coming back for more. I had a good marriage and feel a life shared is more fulfilling than a life alone. I admire the writings of Max Frisch, Alice Hoffman and have enjoyed reading The White Tiger, Here on Earth, and A Gate at the Stairs to name a few.
I don't know that I resemble any historical figure. Perhaps my match can decide that. I'm interested in someone who cares about his appearance. I'm not sure what people notice about me. They haven't told me. I've been known to root for the underdog. Privately, I tutor elementary school children who struggle in reading and writing.
Loyalty and an educated man are high on my list. I admire someone who is interested in the world around him. Toupees, overweight and sloppy are turn offs. I've been to Turkey, Barcelona, Costa Rica, Prague and Budapest and would like to travel to India and St. Petersburg, hopefully with a partner.
