I am a 25 year old history major living in Chicago, Illinois. I have spent nearly my entire life in Chicago and love traveling around the city. I am recently divorced but it was a mutual decision and we are still friends. I have always been a follower of science fiction and enjoy watching episodes of Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Babylon 5, and Battlestar Galactica whenever I have the chance. I also have a large collection of books, from classics like Dune to Tom Clancy to books on ancient Rome.
I am a very independent person and can have difficulty in large groups. I do like playing board games which greatly help me adjust to large crowds. Currently, I am a substitute teacher for Chicago Public Schools and I had originally planned on working as a high school history teacher, but the job market does not allow that. My goal at the moment is to work for a military/foreign policy think tank like Jane or RAND. I enjoy debating on a variety of topics, but politics and history are my two favorite. I am allergic to cats and dogs but want to have cats in the future. I used to have fish, but had to leave the hobby years ago.
