I am the type of person that would best be described as
eccentric. I have a variety of interests and enjoy learning new things and meeting interesting people, although I tend to stick to subjects that intrigue me, mainly history, philosophy, international relations, current affairs, ethics... I am well read, both in the
classics and more modern texts, and am kinda nerdy.
Currently I own and operate an online bookstore that I founded while in grad school.
I think that the most important thing about me is that I am a firm believer in the Kantian categorical imperative, and that I try to live my life accordingly.
Appearance is one of those things that is in the eye of the
beholder. Having stated this, I do not claim to be a Greek
god. I'd have to say that I am average: I usually have a
neatly trimmed beard, and am well groomed. As for which
historical figure I resemble, I’d say Homer or Diogenes (
since no one knows what they looked like… 
I am looking for a like minded friend, someone that I could
trust and that would trust me, someone who would put up with my eccentricities, and I with hers. I am eventually looking for a relationship, but the most important thing to me is friendship, and I believe that friendship is a prerequisite
for a long term relationship.
