I consider myself to be a traditional individualist in that I tend to have classical tastes but also tend to do things my own way. I am pretty impervious to any kind of peer pressure, am a liberal, but also abhore political correctness and cultural relativism. Are you still with me? Yes, I loathe it when people write 'there' for 'their' but I am also pretty damn funny, sardonic, wry, and dry of wit.
Have PhD in English lit and also love history; tend toward the European 18th-19th centuries in my aesthetic sensibilities--especially those founded on the ancients. Some of my favorite books include: Tristram Shandy, Ulysses, Middlemarch, Lolita, P & P and so forth, The only modern artist I really love is Picasso; he had the Classic technique. But then I adore Fellini films--so a bit of a mish-mash there. Reading is paramount to me and I cannot understand it when people suggest I throw out all my books from grad school so don't ever go there with me!
Another thing: looks are important to me. I am in good condition and have a real problem with fat and laziness of any kind. I am against hair dye, plastic surgery, make-up, and all the trappings of "glamor." That said, I need a man who is naturally masculine (not metro-sexual) and who takes care of himself. Have to admit a weakness for the French and Italian guys...
Am I done yet? I cannot imagine who has the time to write so much on these sites...it ain't me! Just hoping someone out there gets me and appreciates a well-timed eye roll or a sarcastic aside. Brainy, wordsmith type here but one who definitely can show the right man a very good time all around. If i do say so myself.
