I'm an artist, writer, photographer, and generally creative fellow, bright, clever, overly educated. I'm attractive, six feet tall, slim with a wiry, fit build (got abs), all original chompers (no cavities, yay!), very presentable, a dapper dresser, and easy on the eye. (I take care of myself and look good with my clothes on or off.) I don't smoke, drink, or use drugs, but not in a 12-Step or Carrie Nation kind of way. I spend a fair bit of time going walkabout; one sees things in the city whilst on foot that one would never see otherwise, provided one keeps one's eyes open. I can whip up a gourmet meal from random bits and pieces and excel at non-chocolate desserts (pie, pastry, muffins, and compote).
And all the myriad things interest me, ranging from etymology to entomology, from aardvarks to zymurgy. (But relatively little epistemology and philosophy, which, truth be told, bore the crap out of me.) I like peculiar biology and cryptozoology (was just reading about diving with Humboldt squid) and I can tell you why sea cucumbers are interesting. And I know relatively little about sports and celebrity gossip. I like non-fiction, bad action movies and execrable B-grade B&W science fiction movies (where you can see the wires or the seams on the rubber suits), and a whole lot more.
I'm a big fan of music, everything from the latest electronica to sixties lounge music. (But never that bland elevator jazz, country & western, or crap like Bon Jovi or Springsteen. I enjoy Asian food immensely -- Korean, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, etc., it's all good -- and I've been to many of the establishments on 6th Street and in Curry Hill (and even a few in Jackson Heights) in my quest for the perfect paratha and stew
I read lots, except sports, politics, and celebrity gossip. There's lots and lots of Borges and PKD. And bad mysteries, including those from Jeffrey Deaver, Preston, Michael Connelly, Joe Gores and Carl Hiassen. And things like space opera, Jack Vance, Roger Zelazney, and William Gibson. And the bizarro history of the world, not the homogenized and sanitized lies we were forcefed in school. (Pocohontas? George Washington and the cherry tree? Bleh.) And food. Gotta read cookbooks; where else would I get ideas? Ok, I'm all over the map here. Which is pretty typical.
I'd like to find a smart, interesting and slightly crazed American woman (not a girl, and believe me, I know the difference), artistic, curious, and creative, a terminal smartass and troublemaker. You'd be ideal if you'd adore learning how to blow glass and weld, delight in acquiring new skills and finding things out, love hardware stores and machine tools, get excited by such things as intricate Japanese wood joints and router bits, watch those customized home and motorcycle programs on cable, generally enjoy the beauty inherent in handmade or one-off items, like natural history and craft museums, and are a fan of sensual deviance in the bedroom, including French kissing, black lace and heels, maybe a little spanking, and always massage and snuggling and the odd bit of rope, leather, and spanking. I like women who are average to curvy builds (say size 6 - 14, depending on height.)
I'm ABSOLUTELY not interested in women who are religious, Republican, or devotes of astrology, crystals, chakras, Ayn Rand, or Fox News. (Cold toes I can live with; outright insanity I can't.)
