Hi there!
First and foremost, I want to welcome all fellow wanderers to my world. Frankly, I find initiating interactions on the Internet and off almost always awkward, as I am introspective and introverted. Although, I am open to others, when approached. However, I am extending myself here. That said...
I want to find/form friends/friendships near or far, who are, above all, genuine and good-natured. Positive people are a plus. All I ask of anyone is that they please put away the pretenses and permit me the same. I'm interested in meeting more idiosyncratic individuals. Feel free to let your freak flag fly as mine is already at full mast; furthermore, I hold conformity in the highest contempt.
It is your best bet, if you engage me by expressing yourself. You need not worry that I will reject you in reaction. Truthfully, I'm more than tolerant. Try me. I am respectful of others, though I also recognize that I am only responsible for my own reactions, including my feelings.
To me, active participation in the maturation process is a major indicator of intelligence. I am attracted to other people who perceive themselves as "works in progress" as this association tends to mutually motivate. I prefer people who aren't apathetic nor numb.
I especially enjoy learning firsthand from others and I offer my eccentric/esoteric experience/expertise in equal exchange. I believe that relationships, as a rule, should be symbiotic. Obviously, I prefer to pass over potential parasites.
I crave clever conversation. I would welcome the chance to chat specifically w/someone who is witty or appreciative of wit. Although, I am willing to become better acquainted w/anyone who is authentic. Either way, as I am conscientious/considerate of others, I don't expect that we will have everything in common; if I really wanted a clone, I could and would have reproduced.
Note that not every exchange needs to be especially erudite. I trust that, if you found your way here, you're intelligent. However, I have been proven wrong before, but you will find that I am by far, fair. Explicit effort, invested in impressing others, only effectively pisses me off. I am in the perpetual process of becoming* increasingly patient, but you still should be prepared to brace yourself, because I'm neither pretentious nor in the habit of hesitating before bringing the deluded back down to this planet w/a healthy dose of reality.
*i.e., ever-evolving/-expanding/-extending in every aspect, as I am able.

It saddens me that I feel I should have to say the following here, of all places. While I hope people won't be put off, particularly by my word selection, it is an inextricable part of who I am. I happen to have a large lexicon and I like to apply it artfully and liberally to whatever I write.
I ask why, if you had a box of crayons and a coloring book, would you simply shade it in w/a plain pencil ? And how is this any different from what I am doing ?
Think about it. There is a definite distinction between pride and pretension. Moreover, your interpretation is not necessarily my intention.
